This is what Nagarjuna has to say about ANR biopic
Thanks to creative filmmaker Nag Ashwin, the biopic trend has come down South from Bollywood. It all started with his biographical film on the late legendary actress Savitri, titled ‘Mahanati’. The Keerthy Suresh - Dulquer Salmaan starrer registered a phenomenal victory at the box-office with a big thumbs-up from critics. It also paved the way for many biopics like the recently released ‘Kathanayakudu’, the first part of NTR biopic directed by Krish.
Sumanth looked like a splitting image of ANR in the Balakrishna starrer and nearly matched the doyen of Telugu cinema in terms of mannerisms and expressions. From then on, rumours started to flourish on social media that Nagarjuna is planning to bankroll a biopic on his father with Sumanth in the titular role.
Responding on the same during an interview, Nag clarified that “We are even scared to remake any of his classic films. So making a biopic on his life is completely out of question. I or my family have absolutely no plans to make a biopic on my father”.
Presently on a break, the veteran actor will reportedly join the sets of his next film ‘Manmadhudu 2’ from March.
